Disc Golf

What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf is similar to normal golf – it involves throwing a disc from a tee area to a specific target which is the “hole”. The hole could be anything – elevated metal baskets are used on official courses, but trees, lightposts and bins are all part of unofficial courses. As a player progresses down the fairway, he or she must make each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw has landed until hitting the target.

Disc golf shares the same joys and frustrations of traditional golf, whether it’s sinking a long putt or hitting a tree halfway down the fairway.  Disc golf is an inclusive, inexpensive sport for anyone who enjoys wandering around a park with friends.
